Lupa CuboPlus Terms of Use (end user)
Courtesy translation. This text translates the Portuguese original. The Portuguese version is the legally binding one and prevails in case of any divergence.
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of Lupa CuboPlus ("Lupa"), a browser extension that answers, in Portuguese, questions about the data in your organization's Qlik Sense apps, by you, the end user, when made available by the organization you are affiliated with ("Organization"). Lupa is a product of Cubotimize Soluções em Inteligência Tecnológica LTDA ("Cubotimize"), operated on behalf of the Organization. By using Lupa, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Notice.
1. Your access is granted by your Organization
- Access is provided and managed by your Organization, which is responsible for granting, suspending and revoking usage seats.
- The commercial and contractual relationship for Lupa is between the Organization and Cubotimize; these Terms cover only your use as an end user.
- Lupa uses your session already authenticated in Qlik Sense. It does not create an account, does not ask for a password and does not store any credentials of yours.
- Lupa inherits your Section Access: you only get from Lupa what you could already see directly in the Qlik app. Lupa does not extend your access to any data.
2. Where Lupa works
- Lupa was built for Qlik Sense Client-Managed (installed on your Organization's server) and for installations under the Qlik Sense Core License. It is not a product for Qlik Cloud.
- Lupa operates only on the Qlik server addresses authorized in your Organization's license and only on the Qlik apps made available by it.
- On any other address, the extension is not granted permission to access the page and does not work.
- Use may be subject to usage limits set by your Organization (questions per day, cost per period). When a limit is reached, Lupa states which one was reached and when it resets.
Within those limits, Lupa:
- answers about the open app, about the sheet on screen and, when you ask, crossing other available apps, saying which app each number came from;
- can draw charts with the numbers obtained and lets you copy or download the answer (text, CSV or PDF), always with the filter context in the header;
- shows, in the Qlik hub, where it answers and lets you request access to an app;
- reports each app's AI quality level, measured against the public master items guide. It is the app's rating, not the answer's.
3. Acceptable use
- Use Lupa only to analyze data in the Qlik apps authorized by your Organization.
- You may not attempt to circumvent the license, host, seat or limit controls; modify the extension; access apps that were not made available; or use Lupa for unlawful purposes.
- You may not reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble Lupa; copy its code or create a derivative product from it; attempt to obtain the assistant's internal instructions; or access the service by any means other than the official extension.
- You may not use Lupa to attempt to re-identify people from aggregated results.
- Every attempt at activation or use outside what is authorized is logged, with origin and date, and is available to your Organization in the administration panel and upon request.
4. AI-generated answers: read carefully
- Lupa uses language models to interpret your question and build queries to the Qlik Engine. Answers may contain inaccuracies.
- The numbers shown come from the Qlik Engine itself. In the open app, the selections and filters active on your screen at the time of the question apply; Lupa states, along with the answer, the filter context in which each number is valid, including when the question crosses other apps. A number without the context of its filter is a wrong number; check the context before using it.
- A projection is an estimate, not a measured number. When you ask for a projection in the chart, the value is calculated by Lupa itself from the numbers already obtained, using a method that is written on the screen, in the image and in the downloaded file. It assumes that recent behavior continues, and it knows nothing about seasonality, new contracts or future events.
- Lupa is analysis support, not an official source. For critical, clinical, contractual, regulatory or financial decisions, check the data in the Qlik app and in the source systems.
- Cubotimize is not responsible for decisions made solely on the basis of an answer from Lupa.
5. What Lupa does not do
- It does not send data rows to the model. Only app metadata (field names, measures, dimensions, expressions) and results already aggregated by the Engine.
- It does not store the text of your questions or answers on Cubotimize's servers. The usage record contains only who asked, about which app, when, how much was consumed and whether there was an error. The conversation stays only in your browser's memory, without being written to disk: it survives a page reload and is deleted when you close the browser, 10 hours after the last message or when another user signs in to Qlik in the same browser. The clear conversation button deletes it right away.
- It does not break down blocked fields. Your Organization defines which fields identify a person (employee number, CPF, the Brazilian taxpayer ID, name) and Cubotimize registers them in the operations panel. From then on the service refuses any calculation that uses them, as a dimension or inside an expression.
- It does not change your selections in the Qlik app.
- It does not open connections from the outside into your Organization's network.
6. Content and intellectual property
- The software, the technology, the mascot and the Lupa CuboPlus, CuboPlus and Cubotimize brands belong to Cubotimize.
- What your Organization contracts is a limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to use. It does not transfer any right over the software to you or to the Organization.
- The data and the Qlik apps belong to your Organization (or its licensors). Cubotimize acquires no rights over them.
- These Terms do not grant a license to use Cubotimize's brands.
7. Availability
- Lupa is offered "as is"; maintenance and downtime may occur.
- There is no availability SLA under this arrangement. An availability commitment, when there is one, is set out in the contract between Cubotimize and your Organization. Saying this is better than leaving it out: without the sentence, each reader assumes a different level of service.
- The features available depend on the plan and license contracted by your Organization.
- Lupa depends on your Organization's Qlik server and on external language model providers; their unavailability affects Lupa.
8. License and termination
- Use of Lupa depends on a valid license held by your Organization. Once the license and the grace period expire, access ends, with an explicit message, never silently.
- Your seat may be terminated by your Organization at any time.
- Cubotimize may suspend access that violates these Terms or threatens the security of the service.
9. Changes
- These Terms are versioned: when the text changes, the version and the date change. Material changes are communicated to your Organization.
- The current version is always the one published, in Portuguese, at <https://lupa.cubo.plus/termos.html> and in the material delivered to your Organization. When there is a new version, the previous ones remain published.
| Version | Effective | What changed |
|---|---|---|
| v2 | 2026-10-03 | Section 3: now prohibits reverse engineering, copying the code, obtaining the assistant's internal instructions and access outside the official extension. Section 6: use is a license, not an assignment. |
| v1 | 2026-09-12 | First version. Text of v1, in Portuguese. |
10. Governing law
- Brazilian law applies, in particular Law No. 13.709/2018 (LGPD, the Brazilian General Data Protection Law) and Law No. 12.965/2014 (Brazilian Civil Rights Framework for the Internet).
- The courts of the District of Rio de Janeiro/RJ, Brazil, are elected to settle any doubts or disputes arising from these Terms.
11. Contact
- Questions about your use should be raised first with your Organization.
- Questions about the product: [email protected].
