Lupa CuboPlus Cookie and Local Storage Policy
Courtesy translation. This text translates the Portuguese original. The Portuguese version is the legally binding one and prevails in case of any divergence.
This Policy describes the use of cookies and similar technologies in Lupa CuboPlus ("Lupa").
Lupa has two surfaces, and they behave differently. The distinction matters, and that is why it comes before everything else.
1. The browser extension does not use cookies
The extension that runs on top of your Qlik app does not create, read or write cookies of its own.
It uses the extension storage (chrome.storage), a private area of the extension in your browser: on disk for what activation needs, and in memory only for the conversation. What is kept there:
| What | What for | For how long |
|---|---|---|
| Installation token | Authenticate the extension with the gateway without asking for the license key again | 30 days, renewed every 7 |
| Authorized Qlik server address | Know where the extension may operate | For as long as the installation exists |
| List of available apps and current limits | Show the right notices without querying the server on every click | Updated on each renewal |
| Conversation history, per app | Keep the context of the questions when the Qlik page is reloaded. It stays only in the browser's memory, without being written to disk, and is not sent to our servers | Until the browser is closed, at most 10 hours after the last message, and deleted when another user signs in to Qlik in the same browser; the clear conversation button deletes it sooner |
| Name and image of your Organization's assistant | Show the assistant with the configured branding without fetching it every time it opens | Updated when the configuration changes |
This storage is not accessible to other sites, does not follow you across domains and is not used for tracking. It is required for operation: without it, the extension would need the license key every time it is used.
The raw license key is discarded right after activation: it is not kept.
The Qlik session belongs to your Organization. The Qlik Sense authentication cookies are created by your Organization's own Qlik server, not by Lupa, and follow its policy. Lupa only makes use of the session that already exists.
2. The management portal uses only essential cookies
The web portal where the manager administers the license, seats, apps and limits uses only essential cookies, needed to:
- authenticate the manager's session and keep them signed in;
- preserve basic interface preferences.
3. What we do not use, on either surface
- No advertising cookies.
- No marketing trackers.
- No browsing analytics tools in the authenticated environment.
- No third-party cookies.
4. Management
- Because they are essential to operation, the portal's cookies cannot be disabled without preventing access. You can clear them in your browser, which ends the session.
- The extension's local storage is removed when you uninstall the extension or clear the browser data. In that case, the extension will ask for the license key again.
- Since there are no non-essential cookies, there is no consent banner to show.
